When I unplug one of the ribbon cables going from the TCON to the panel and the backlighting comes on. I also have the one connect connected. I can hit the source button on the remote and the backlighting will dim then come back on as if it is changing sources. If the one connect is disconnected the panel does not dim when hitting the source button on the remote. Does this indicate that the main board is responding?

Hello, I have a Samsung UN65JS9000 that has a black screen and no backlights but has audio. Viewing screen with flashlight at an angle I dont notice any visible picture. If you unplug the connector from TCON board from the LED Driver Board the backlighting will come on. Also if you leave the connector from the TCON board to the LED Driver Board connected and disconnect one of the ribbon cables from the TCON board to the display, doesn't matter which one, the backlights will also come on.
