    When I unplug one of the ribbon cables going from the TCON to the panel and the backlighting comes on. I also have the one connect connected. I can hit the source button on the remote and the backlighting will dim then come back on as if it is changing sources. If the one connect is disconnected the panel does not dim when hitting the source button on the remote. Does this indicate that the main board is responding?

    Thank you for the reply, I really appreciate it! I dont have access to an oscilloscope, is there another was I would be able to test that? Thanks again!

    Hello, I have a Samsung UN65JS9000 that has a black screen and no backlights but has audio. Viewing screen with flashlight at an angle I dont notice any visible picture. If you unplug the connector from TCON board from the LED Driver Board the backlighting will come on. Also if you leave the connector from the TCON board to the LED Driver Board connected and disconnect one of the ribbon cables from the TCON board to the display, doesn't matter which one, the backlights will also come on. I replaced the TCON board without change. I since have been looking at the mainboard and have noticed that...

    Hello, Im a DIY enthusiast who has been building and troubleshooting PC's for the better part of my life. I have some experience soldering and repairing motherboards. I have a TV that I am having trouble with and am unable to find service info on unit and am hoping to get some help repairing this device or pointed in the right direction!
