I just got the caps this week and got them in yesterday- the panasonic FMs. Unfortunately and as crazy as it may seem, although the system/mobo works fine, the 2200 have already started to bubble/expand/go bad. Is it possible I got a bad batch? Or did I screw something up somehow? The system works fine- tested it with some 3d apps with a 9800 and it performed flawlessly.

I found some of the caps I need, but, as I am a cap noob, I am unsure if these will work. In the FAQ section, they mentioned United chemcom as being acceptable, but they did not mention this series as being acceptable. They are

I also have 9 caps to replace on this mobo- 4 2200uF 10v and 5 500uF 6.3v. How do I contact Topcat for solutions? I am in the States btw.

So you all don't think that this cap would affect the card that much? I wodner what happened then. I can't get the card to work in AGP mode at all, according to smartgart. It can't do agp read or write.

This might seem a bit ambitious for a first post, but here goes...

I was hoping someone here had some experience repairing things such as this. The GPU is in good working order it seems. However, without this cap functionality is limited (obviously). So, I have sent in a ticket to ATI hoping they could provide me with info about what the part is exactly so I can purchase it.. however I am not too sure they will assist me in this matter. Also, as it is so small and an SMD, I am not sure how I would get it in there guessing that normal soldering won't work.. not sure though, I am...
