Re: Needs Help on ASUS P5KPL-AM SE
The memory card and the processor are all in good condition coz' I tested it on my friends pc and working good. I also tested the power supply and the power switch which are functional and in good condition. I also seated the components in right orientation and contacts to the slots. The chassis and cpu fans are working flawlessly also. I don't have a video card am using the built-in VGA.

Needs Help on ASUS P5KPL-AM SE
This mobo was out of warranty and it's my only motherboard available since I can't afford to buy one. When I press the power button the power LED turned On, the CPU fan spin and the onboard LED power indicator lights up but there was no POST, no beep, and no screen display whatsoever.
What would be the problem of this? Hope anyone could help me to find the fault of this mobo.

Re: A Poor Student Needs Help - NEC L70S No Backlight
Thanks a lot. I will read and follow the instruction in troubleshooting this monitor. Do you have any schematic diagram on CMV CT-934D monitor coz' the PSU components were burned...Here's the attachments...I got the pictures here in this site since it's very similar to the PSU board. And since I have no hd camera to take the pictures....Last edited by apostar; 01-04-2012, 02:33 AM.

A Poor Student Needs Help - NEC L70S No Backlight
This LCD monitor was given to me by my instructor coz' it's lying around in in their attic and was an old model. Since I have no monitor (CMV CT-934D defective main supply regulator) I was very happy to have it but the only problem was when I turned on the power the backlight flash momentarily then black out but the power LED stayed on(green). When I shone flashlight in the screen I could see the icons which means the display is fine and the backlight is defective. Anyone could help me please.

Asus p5kpl-am epu
When I push the power button the board powered up but no display, POST or even beep. It has the so called "solid capacitor" but underneath the processor's heatsink was very hot and I could see the brownish discoloration of the PCB. Is the "solid capacitor" prone to badcap or an exemption?

CMV CT-934D Burnt SMC(Surface Mounted Components)
Anyone with the schematic diagram of the main regulator section CT-934D? I just want to know the values of the burnt resistors and capacitors; these were surface mounted components. Could I replace them with standard capacitors and resistors? The assy number is DAC - 19M001A.
