  • The RTC coin cell measures 3.02V.
I checked resistance to ground on all main inductors; none are shorted (values range from tens of ohms to kilo-ohms).
There is no excessive current draw when pressing power.

    Hello everyone,
I’m troubleshooting a Dell Latitude E7440 motherboard (Compal LA-9591P) and I’m looking for confirmation or additional checks
    Symptoms
    • Pressing the power button:
      • Power LED turns on
      • After a few seconds the system shuts down
      • Battery LED gives one single amber blink
    • Same behavior:
      • with battery removed
      • with original Dell 135W AC adapter

    • Power rails
    • +3V_ALW and +5V_ALW are present and stable
    • When pressing power:
      • No increase in current draw (almost 0A, no startup spike)
      • After a short timeout the EC turns the board

Final update: clean install of Windows 11 Home (no product key entered).
System activated automatically after connecting to the internet.
Digital license is stored on Microsoft servers, not in BIOS.
    Issue fully solved....

    Hello everyone,

I’m working on a Lenovo IdeaPad XiaoXin Chao7000-15ARR (Ryzen platform) and I need some help with BIOS reconstruction.

Unfortunately I only have the bare motherboard (no original chassis, no sticker, no working system).
The laptop came with black screen.

    What I have:
    - Original SPI dump read from the board (W25Q64DW 1.8V, 8MB)
    - Official Lenovo BIOS update (.CAP file)
    - Photos of the motherboard (front and back)
    - Board powers on, but with original dump it stays black screen

  • ASUS B75M-A – Fixed BIOS with Clean Intel ME 8.1 (1.5MB) – FW Status Recovery Failed solved

    Hello everyone,
I’m sharing here a fixed BIOS for ASUS B75M-A, rebuilt to properly solve the well-known
“FW Status Recovery Failed” issue caused by the incorrect Intel ME 5MB firmware included in all official ASUS BIOS releases for this board.
All stock ASUS B75M-A BIOS versions contain an Intel ME 8.x 5MB (Corporate) firmware.
While the system usually boots, the ME remains in recovery mode, leading to instability and the FW Status error.
This board requires Intel ME 8.x 1.5MB (Consumer).
ASUS never corrected this, so the only real fix is a manual ME cleanup...

Thank you for your work. Unfortunately, it behaves like the corrupted one: the orange charging light doesn’t turn on, and the white light turns on for a second and then turns off. Using the BIOS from this discussion, it works, but Intel Management wouldn't start — there was a yellow triangle in Device Manager, and the computer's data (key, serial number, etc.) was missing.

  • Acer Aspire E1-571 Q5WV1 LA 7912P no charging

Hi , with the power supply works , with only the battery works but, if I connect the power supply the charge does not work . It feels like a beep and attacks and detaches the charge continuously. In other cases I changed the power plug and it worked here I did it but continues with this defect . If I try to charge with 'bench power supply the battery does not charge and I do not have another battery to try. Could it be the battery ? This one is 2 years old. Thank you.

I managed to enter the data found in the labels but I can not find them with the editor in the bios , I find only the Windows key . Is there a way to find them in the original bios dump in case there are no labels? Just to learn. Thank you all anyway....
