Can anyone identify this fault on an orion TV I have been given please?

Village Electronics, you are correct, there is a fault / break in the cable[I] (The one in the red box in the picture) [/I]leading to the LCD panel.
I noticed that when pressing the cable the fault came and went, so done a bodge job and managed to get the TV working again.
Not perfect but it will do :-)

I found the TCON board - Pictures attached, correct me if I am wrong - And I am having difficulty removing the cable, any suggestions please?
The cable that went into the silver connector came out no problem.
