Since I posted the request, I have familiarized myself with the process of cleaning the ME region of the bios. UEFITOOL reported an ME version of 11.8.70.3626, which I downloaded and wrote to the extracted bios. After flashing this cleaned bios, now the beep is back but the display is still off, both on the LCD and via the HDMI. Since someone else worked on this laptop before, I wonder whether he flashed the wrong bios with the wrong ME version. If someone has a working bios for the board (agan 14283-2 448. 05107.0021), I highly appreciate if you can share it. Thanks!

ThinkPad P40 Bios help
When connected to the power brick, the power light turns on and the FN key lights up. The fan also spins, but there is no display, either on the lcd or over HDMI.
If I remove the ram, it does beep.
I don't have the serial number or the actual model number, but it is a P40 with the board number 14283-2 448. 05107.0021. I download one from the forum for 14283-2 448. 05106.0021, but now even the ram warming beep is absent.
Help is much appreciated!...

Re: Dell Inspiron 3668 desktop bios, no display
It didn't work initially. But then I tried my luck with a different ram. Curiously enough, that one of the same type (DDR4-2400T) and a higher capacity (8GB instead of 4GB) worked! The board rebooted three times and the dell logo finally showed.
So maybe the board was fine even initially? I didn't bother to flash the original bios back, and now I'm curious why the 4GB ram didn't work. The motherboard didn't give a warning at all with it.
In summary, one thing I know for sure and helpful...

Dell Inspiron 3668 desktop bios, no display
Not sure whether desktop bios can be requested here, but I have a Dell Inspiron 3668 desktop that does not display anything at startup. It gives warnings if the ram or CPU is absent, though. Here is the bios dump....

Re: bios hp DAY0HGMB6C1 REV-C
I ran into the same problem with the same mobo from an HP Stream 11 (11-ah117wm). At one point I gave up and tried to search for a replacement mobo on Ebay. I then came across a mobo that looked just like it but had an older Celeron CPU and DDR3 ram. It was an HP Stream 11 Pro G3. Well, searching for a Pro model with DD4 ram led me to the G5, and flashing its bios was a success!
It can be downloaded from here:
