That's what I was trying to go by, but I can't find anything closely comparable. At least not in my limited knowledge.Re: HML1225 Thyristor replacement
Need some help finding a suitable replacement for a couple HML1224 thyristor's.
These aren't manufactured any longer and the only comparable replacement I can find on Digikey is a MCR100-5 A1G.. and wouldn't you know it.. that one is no longer made either.
This is for a vintage Christmas light chaser function box.
Re: Cambridge Audio Azur 551P MM Preamp - No output
Hello again!
Thank you for the previous response bowerbird
So I checked the voltage on R42 and R43. They are as follows:
R42: +3.6v
R43: +0.5v
I also checked the op amp's which are Texas Instruments NE5532's.
Both are identical with pins 4(VCC-) at +0.9v and pins 8(VCC+) are both at +2.1v
Nothing is getting warm as far as I can tell, but I did notice when I plug in the adapter that after unplugging and powered on.. the led will just slowly fade...
Recently my Cambridge Azur 551P stopped putting out sound after years of great music. After testing with my Fluke meter, there is no voltage present from the AC adapter at all. I had another AC 12V 300ma adapter to test with (the original AC adapter is 12V 500ma) and so I did.
Unit powers up, but there is no buzzing at all when touching the line input cable from the turntable. I am somewhat new to circuitry, but I do know enough to look for blown/bulging caps. I only saw one that was looked ever so slightly puffy in the power supply section,...
Sorry for the late response. It's been a little hectic around the workshop as of late.
Thank you for clarifying that information elecsoluces. I'll go ahead and order the 0.1uF caps at the proper size. Ill probably also go ahead and replace both chips out of good measure. Hopefully that will help the other side of the cable to work.
Ran into an issue with a Nintendo Switch that would only charge on one side of the port after replacing the USB C port (I have already done 1 successfully).
So I went ahead and reflowed the M92T36. No problems, but no changes.
I then took off both of the ESD IC's as they are no longer fitted on newer boards and have been known to cause issues. No change.
