  • Samsung QE55Q7F Main board question

I'm looking to replace the main board on the above tv as it got damaged.
The original part number on the board is BN94-11487J but this board seems to discontinued and replaced with BN94-12660J

I have found some on eBay that look like it's front the 65” version but the part number ends in a D instead of a J

Has anyone any experience with these boards and are they all the same really?
So the board I am looking at is BN94-12660D

    Any help appreciated

  • Re: Sony 65” issue I caused

So I got the microscope and I resoldered the cable. I must of had it slightly offline because when I powered it up the ribbon cable heated up and burnt a little hole. It must of shorted out. It can be done but I failed on this one I'm afraid.

A friend is giving me a microscope and soldering set to repair this very thing. He did mention if one of the the tracks has came off we would have to chase it to see where it goes and run a cable to it. It's worth a shot anyway....

Ahh no way! I thought if the cable pins made contact with the pads then it could be ok.
    Cheers guys

  • Sony 65” issue I caused

I'm hoping after all the work I put into this I can salvage something. I bought a 65” Sony tv that was flashing three red lights. I opened it and tested the led's and it one strip had failed so I went and preferred them online.

They arrived today and again I stripped the tv down and replaced the led's, but in the process I tore one of the little ribbon cables coming from then iron of the LCD ( See attached pic).

I tried to tape it back down and out the tv back together and the original issue has now gone and the tv boots up but only one half of the screen is displaying...

  • Re: Sharp LC-43CUG8461KS

Things seem to of taken a turn for the worse now. With both cables plugged into the t com board I can no longer get a display. Removing one does the half ball and half white thing and removing the other does a black one side and lines the other side I did notice the Tcom board getting very very hot within seconds. Thinking of trying to source a board and see what happens

Ok lads so I loaded some photos onto the usb drive and started the tv. The images displayed ok but obviously with some lines going horizontally across the screen. I disconnected the left ribbon cable from the T Com board and one side displayed black with big purple lines and the other side displayed nothing. Same with the other ribbon cable, one side went black and the other went a fuzzy black and white with lines going through it. No picture on either side.

Cheers lads I’ll give it a shot. The T com board is separate and I haven’t tried playing an image to see if it works on either side with the other been disconnected but I’ll try that now.

Can I just clarify that the scotch tape and the tape cut off are the same method?

Thanks for the quick reply. I’ve searched for the cut off method but can’t find anything related to my tv.

    Hey everyone,

I'm looking for some advice on the above tv. Recently the display has started showing some lines horizontally across the screen and then the image begins to shake. I've opened it and checked everything but can't seem to find any issues. First boot might get a perfect display for a moment but then it goes all over the place.

I've attached some images and tried disconnecting the cables from the T Com board. The image with the half white and purple lines on the other is with the left ribbon cable removed from the rock board. The image with black and white...

  • Re: New Members - please post your introductions here

    Hi everyone,
New member that came across this group googling some tv issues.
I've started to try fix any broken devices I can get my hands on. Hoping to learn as much as I can from people with similar interests.
