    Hi,
    a night later I just tried again. Got past the acer logo, showed the desktop and shut off two seconds later, but still normal buzzing from the power board. Not accepting button input:

    Ok, I think I misunderstood you the first time.
    After it rested for a little over an hour I plugged everything in (the led turned on, no backlight, no picture, not able to turn it off) and measured again:

    To inverter board:
    1 +24Vcc Inverter Vcc ====== 23.8V
    2 +24Vcc Inverter Vcc ====== 23.8V
    3 +24Vcc Inverter Vcc ====== 23.8V

    Thanks for replying so fast. I just hooked up everything and now it's completely dead. The pc detects the monitor but it doesn't react at all. The fuse on the power board is still good, as is the bridge rectifier... If I measure the big cap immediately after disconnecting power I'll catch it at over 200V (if that helps).

    Hi,
    I was not sure if I should open a new thread or not, but I will try here.
    Two years ago I got this monitor working again (thanks to this thread) by replacing the 10 caps and a mosfet on the inverter board, but this time the symptoms are different.
    After running for a few hours it turned off and on again by itself, once. Now, if I connect the power cord, it turns on by itself, shows the logo for 2 seconds, then the logo highlights red or it shows a weird small menu item for a fraction of a second and the...

  • Re: CIBOX C1905 Mod.: LW1922C dead

    Another one fixed.
    The mosfet checked out fine. Replaced the bridge rectifier and fuse and it has been working for a few hours now. Will replace the caps when I'm bored.

    Thank you two for the fast and clear advice. I love this board.

    OK, I removed the bridge rectifier and pins 3-4 (if counting from - to +) read 0.5 ohm.

    Would replacing this and the fuse be the first things to do?
    Is it more likely that the component failed by itself or that it was shorted by another faulty component?
    Would you recommend replacing the caps anyway? (Since they are on your bad capacitor list.)

    Thank you

  • CIBOX C1905 Mod.: LW1922C dead

    Hi all, I got hold of a 2006 CIBOX C1905 Model LW1922C to play with. No reaction at all when turning on.
    After opening it I found F801 blown. With my untrained eye I cannot find anything obviously bad except maybe the discoloration underneath T502.
    Caps are from Su`scon and TEAPO and look fine top and bottom. C803 (above F801) is a TEAPO XG-HS.

    There is another thread here that dealt with this model very shortly but unfortunately died.

    Please disregard the staining...

  • Re: ACER AL2416W - Screen does not come on at all.

    Sorry, I should have mentioned that I already replaced all caps and one mosfet.

    Yes it was!

    Sure.
    I will change the fuse soon.

  • Re: Confused cap values during removal- best fix?

    Another Hanns-G HN198D saved by replacing nine caps, all except the biggest, six of which were obviously bloated.
    Upon turning on: clicking noise, solid led, no reaction on the display and no possibility to turn off (except cutting power).
    Thanks badcaps community.

    I have the same monitor and replaced a blown fuse on the inverter board with a 1,25A fuse first (which immediately blew) and then with a 4A fuse. It has been working for months now. Do you recommend replacing it again with a 1.5A fuse to be safe?

    Do these suffice?...

  • Re: Samsung 930b LCD cold start problem (inverter?)

    Got to repair a 930bf a few days ago. Symptoms upon turning it on were no reaction but the rapidly blinking led as well. Changing all caps on the power board, except the big one, fixed it. They looked as good as new. Has been working ever since. Thanks again badcaps forum!

    Just registered to share my story with this monitor.I had no experience at all fixing hardware on this level but this thread alone practically got me an almost free LCD. Thank You!

    It had the same problem: 2 seconds acer logo, then no backlight
    1.) replaced all 10 caps with EEUFC1V101B (the original looked fine and the problem persisted)
    2.) tested the mosfets and fuses for continuity
    - one mosfet had continuity between the top and any leg (changed only that one)
    - one fuse was blown...
