Re: Need assistance accessing UEFI of Surface Go
It was understanding that UEFI was a replacement for BIOS.
I have no difficulties reaching the password prompt for the UEFI.
I am replying to you from the same Surface Go in question.
I just need the UEFI password cleared/discovered to release the 50% cap that was placed on the battery.

Need assistance accessing UEFI of Surface Go
Previous owner (that I have no way of contacting) thought it'd be cute to cap the battery off at 50% and then lock the UEFI. M$ has been anything but helpful while trying to convince me the only path is to swap+purchase a referb. Much to my joy, I found this forum just as I was losing hope.
I have FPT, but haven't found a satisfactory tutorial. So if there's a good one floating around, please post it. Otherwise I'll get you all a dump ASAP.

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Hello all,
Just a fellow from central Texas who's got a Surface Go who's battery has been capped at 50% and a locked UEFI. M$ has been utterly useless and want me to buy a replacement.
I know I'm gonna need FPT at some point to get you all what you need, but damn if this n00b can find it's download location.
In any case, this site's captcha system is garbage at best on my desktop and a nightmare on my Surface.
Cheers
