Re: flx-3211b

Ok well one of my local electronic shops has 2 rubycon 10uf 450v and they seem to be what I need. I guess ill try them, I guess my next question is how do you know if you installed them the right direction? I have done this stuff before back in college in my computer science classes but it has been so long any pointers might help.

Ok so my uncle had an Element FLX-3211B. He told me that first the sound went out and than the screen went black at seperate times through out about a month. He just went and bought a new TV. I have a Vizio and had fixed it before with a similar problem, the screen went out on that one and I just replaced the back light power supply and it was fixed. So he told me if I can fix the TV its mine because he was just going to throw it out.

When I turn it on the red light on the front comes on and when I hit power it turns green. So I have power. Just no sound or picture. When looking...
