    TH-42PZ80U - 10 blink

Guys, I know this 10 blink issue has been discussed to death but I have come across an issue causing a 10 blink I have not seen discussed before. After looking at all the posts and fixes related to the different items i.e. power board, sd card slot, main board, non of these items where causing the 10 blink issue. I verified with working boards from another fully functioning TV. The issue causing the 10 blink on this TV was the connection to the lower buffer board specifically CB1 on the C1 board. Took a lot of tests to determine this as I wanted to know what the cause was. So with the CB1 tab...

tom66, thanks for your help, turns out the low battery in my Fluke was causing false readings. Really feel stupid but thanks. I should know by now to always check your equipment and never assume.

Thanks. Yes, I did not run the TV but a min or two knowing that the high voltage could damage it. Still stumped on what the issue is. I know my batteries are low on my fluke and will change tonight an also check some of the power board componets.

  • Samsung PN42C450B1 Power Supply issues

Guys, wonder if anyone has run into this issue and has a solution. I have a Samsung PN42C450 plasma which had a couple issues causing it to fail. I determined the X sustsin was bad and also the buffer board had a shorted chip. I replaced these with tested used parts and also checked the y sustain which was still good. During the testing phase I saw that the VS and VA on the power board registered 290 and 79 roughly then shut down due to the bad x sustain. I pulled another PS from a another unit I had with a bad panel. Sill the same thing. I turned both down but the lowest they would go was 270...

  • Re: vizio vp322 bad caps...

Ok, guys have a question on this VP322. I received this TV in a trade with a guy who does his best at repairing tvs with limited knowledge. He replaced a bunch of i presume vented capacitors and did a good solder job. The TV would show the orange Vizio logo and go to white when powered on with no pic or sound. I checked the board and there was no VS or VA when the set powered up. I started to tear into the board and check all the components. It turns out there was a bad mosfet and bad logical voltage regulator on the rail next to the plug for the mian...
