PSU switches off when turn off Desk Lamp
One of my PSU I notice has a strange trait. Whenever I turn off my Desk Lamp on the same trailing socket this PSU will switch off also. (It's not my Tagan by the way.)Last edited by Fizzycapola2; 03-09-2007, 08:05 PM.

Re: Killer Computer Cases Research
I bought the Antec 900, so far so good, the plastic I don't mind it's good solid plastic
not too thin / flimsy or shiny like you see on made in china cheap crap, and there is
steel underneath it lol. I got it for it's cooling performance, which other case supports
5 120mm fans and a 200mm outlet all with speed controls as standard, + room for
atleast 1 more 120mm inside too and even 2 more if you don't put any hard drive in.
I quote from the box it came in:

Quick look inside the infamous Tagan 480W
I decided to invalidate my warranty, don't know why I did this still kicking
myself, curiosity to find bad caps inside got the better of me I guess. Anyway
there wasn't much to see with the big heatsink covering nearly everything.
Just a peek. Not much useful knowledge to be gained, but I did invalidate my warranty for this lol.
Apologies for picture quality, I've spent thousands of dollars on cameras
not spending anymore. (admitedly last purchase was 5 years ago)

Re: Losing my mind.....
RAM seems expensive, the newer Dominator ram with the larger heatsink I found
for $500 per 2GB PC8500 kit (CAS5 though).
My Antec PSU was very weak btw, what Amps is that one, it seems very weak for future upgrading, the latest graphics cards recommend 600w / 30Amp rail minimum.
I'm also making a new PC, so far I have the Antec Nine Hundred case, not sure on the rest, I have Dominator PC8500 ordered, I'm thinking about saving money on the CPU and investing it in a good board such as Gigabyte DQ6 and a decent cooling solution,...Last edited by Fizzycapola2; 01-25-2007, 03:42 PM.
