UX435E: Water Damage
Hi,
I'm trying to fix this Asus UX435E which has been water damaged.
I cleaned everything, removed a bad capacitor and he powered on. I access the bios just fine but a chip becomes mad hot and the laptop shuts down.
It seems that this controller chip is faulty: its reference seems to be "AWDPN" or "AWS0PN"
I tried to find reference on the web but no luck on this (seems to be very close to SY8288RAC with "AWS5MA").
Can you help me finding the good reference?
Thank you ...

Re: INWIN C750, Platinum: Strange Design?
Thanks for your reply!
So if i understand well, for CPU purpose they just use 3x12V input to supply the 4x12V required?
I'm just afraid that I will burn something by putting my Ryzen 5 3600 with this PSU... Maybe it's enough to handle this type of processor ... or maybe not ....

INWIN C750, Platinum: Strange Design?
Hi there,
I just got an INWIN c750 PSU (750 Watts, Platinum)
I took it apart to clean it and something puzzled me.
The CPU and PCIE PSU connectors have the same shape
After measurement at the terminals of the CPU connector, only 3 pins deliver 12 volts, the rest being connected to ground:
Looking at the PCB, we immediately notice that there are only 3 wires connected to 12 volts and 5 to GND:
My question: is this kind of connection "nomalized" or it could cause problems in use?
Thanks for...

Re: bin asus s510u x510ur
I removed the chip and soldered directly on my programmer. I selected the right chip (W25Q64JV).
But at first look, it seems that I have the same extract than the first one...
Maybe a faulty BIOS chip?...

I tried again and the extracted bios was indeed different from the first one. Hope it will be fine!...

Re: bin asus s510u x510ur
Hello,
I have a similar problem with my asus S510UA. Power light blinks one time when I power it on and then nothing.
I think it's a bios issue. Can someone fix this?
Thanks! ...

Re: Corrupted Bios Asus ASUS ZenBook Flip UX360U
Again, thanks for the help! It is very appreciated!
I tried to install the clear-ME Bios. Nothing change for the keyboard: my Asus just takes longer time to boot. No luck on this.
I tried to use asus block transmit tool bt.exe and bt2.exe. The first one returned an EXTF Error and the second one " returncode: 255". I am not sure about the meaning of this code. (screenshots attached)
I also tried to manually write "7C" inside the bios using...

MacBook Air A1466 - No chime, no picture, fan spinning
Hello!
I just got and MacBook Air A1466 EMC 2925 (820-00165-A) but it doesn't chime with not light on keyboard and black screen, just the fan spinning.
I noticed something weird with the fan:
- When the charger is connected, he powers up on his own (one time fan spining for 5 seconds, stops, then solid normal fan spining until I force the shutdown).
- When I try to run the Mac on battery, he is just power cycling (fan spinning for 10-15 seconds and then stop before restarting again and so on).
I already tried to refalshed the BIOS: nothing changed.
