Take heatpipe from your computer. Then warm one end of the pipe with soldering iron, at the same time controlling temperature on the other end of the pipe. If temperature doesn't constantly growing, then you'll need to replace defective pipe.

If you are sure, that the power board is new, then maybe you just have confused sides of the cable between power board and led+button board.
