    @Rhadu23 I just can't attach it using gmail for the life of me it kept saying it won't let me upload executables and archives even with their name extension gone so here you go....

    Nope. I should have if it worked. I also checked the SUBSYS_ID in GPU-Z and it still shows 1070s value.

    Alright I'll give it a shot once I get the programmer.

    Edit: It flashed successfully but it's still X7X7. Only thing that's changed is the bios version, It's older now.

    Error 368: Failed to disable write protection for the BIOS space.
    FPT Operation Failed.

    Is there a way bypass this write protection?

    Edit: Also currently I don't have a programmer on hand so if you think it's too risky please do tell.

    Hey there. I have the same exact variant of the laptop you have (X7Y7 with a 1080). I updated my BIOS yesterday using the OEM app "drivers update" from gigabytes website. For some absurd reason it installed the X7X7 BIOS (1070 variant). Now the laptop isn't dead at least but installing GPU drivers is a lengthy process since the SUBSYS_ID of the GPU is changed to that of a 1070. I tried downloading and flashing the X7Y7 BIOS from their official website but that executable only sees the X7X7 BIOS that's currently running...
