I apologize for the double post, I just found that the ipad 4 and possibly the Ipad 3 have the same DP635 in their display. So if you can find an icloud locked or cracked LCD Ipad3 or 4 for cheap you may be able to avoid long shipping times....

When you do get it please let me know. the same issue and when taking a thermal cam it was the only chip getting hot at about 50C. I may just order one to check. BUt definitely keep us updated!...

Hey all, I'm new here and love the resource so far! I searched the forums but couldn't find an answer for this specific question. My background.... I took a robotics course in high school...... 17 years ago. since then I've gotten back into it and am taking this quite seriously. But with my schedule all I have are youtube videos. They have been helpful to an extent but on a laptop without a schematic it seems difficult without a background in electronics to know how things should be interacting.
