Hello,
I have a home automation controller (Control4) where the eMMC chip where some sectors on the chip is corrupted. The controller runs a linux based system. I believe the bootloader/kernel is bzImage.
The model of the eMMC is SanDisk SDIN8DE2-8G.
My objective is to purchase a new SanDisk eMMC chip and flash a working image on the eMMC chip before I take the circuit board to the local electronic shop to remove the old chip and install the new chip. I have confirmed with the local electronic shop that they are able to remove and install the new eMMC...

Re: Slow writing programmer
I'm in the same boot.
I'm looking for a eMMC chip writer that is reliable and reasonable. I have a new SanDisk SDIN8DE2-8G BGA153 eMMC chip that I need to flash a Linux image on the eMMC chip.
The old eMMC chip is corrupted and I need to remove it from the circuit board. The chip is on a circuit board used for home automation (Control4).
