Re: Anyone reccomend a place to get schematics
I would recommend notebookschematic.com used them in the past - very helpfull.
Hi Unlockdev - I need a schematic for an Acer TM5330 - trying to fault find missing 3.3V & 5V and I think it's a faulty TPS51125.
Would you have that schematic to hand?
Thanks

Re: Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Xi 2428 failure
Is this a fresh install? Have to tried Fresh install?
Try installing the Intel INF Drivers
Updated the drivers for Lan and Wifi
Have you tries new memory - if you have 2 modules remove one and try and then swap them and try again.
Run MSCONFIG and try Diagnostic startup or Selective startup and load only the basic services ie video.

Re: Dead Thinkpad R30 and R31 series.
Hi Wizard
Is the standby voltage present at the power switch - I assume you checked this but just need to know.
Have you tried another CPU lower spec just in case the Bios revision of the new MB might not support your current processor. Also some makes of laptops wont power on without the CPU.
Have you removed the Cmos Battery?
Try Disconnecting everything except CPU & Ram.
I know the above are fairly basic checks but you never know
Hope this helps

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Hi all,
I can remember the day 20 years ago like it was just yesterday when I started repairing Commodore 64's and Sinclair Spectrums to component level - Nothing has changed except the components are now of much better quality but they still fail so that keeps me happy.
Hope to share my knowledge and gain some more with this community.
