Re: Imfamous M60-C3 woes
Just wanted to update this:
I've kept the TV since Feb/21. I'm happy to report the ghosting/flickering has gone away with use overtime. Use has been limited to maybe a few times a month - not intentionally but I really only use the TV in the basement for special events or background noise.
I'm confident the reflow procedure is to thank - as it's the reason I can claim victory on this.
Over time, the ghosting/flickering has gone away. Typically it'd be present after a few minutes of the TV being on - requiring a reboot...

Imfamous M60-C3 woes
Hey all.
I've learned a large bit from this forum. I'm happy to report that after following the troubleshooting methods listed from the veterans on this page, I was able to get this older TV going again. I picked this TV up from FBOOK market for little to nothing. The fella I got it from said the power button does nothing, etc etc. Brought it home, found the power cord included was wrong. Was the rounded on both edges cord, needed the one with the flat spot on one side. Took cover off found fuse on PSU to be blown. Ordered proper fuse and soldered it in. TV would power cycle nonstop....

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Howdy.
My name is Jason. I am a Diesel Tech full-time. Because of the cold weather, I prefer to work on TV's in the house. I flip TVs and cars. I found this site because of a typical Vizio issue with the mainboards. Also because of this site, I ventured beyond my comfort zone of soldering and I'm looking forward to expanding on it.
