Sony KDL-46EX710 Occasional "green ghosting" on picture
The KDL 46 LCD has occasional green overlaying the picture. It seems as to happen less often if I control the picture settings to display less brightness, picture, backlight, etc...
It often will flash green for a moment, with the pic still visible in behind and then flash off quickly. I have looked at the caps on the power board and none of them have popped. I have also tried changing the Control Board (t460hw04 V5) with a new one and still no luck. I have also swapped the ribbon cables from the ctrl bd to the lcd and no change. Im thinking of replacing all the caps or maybe ordering a...

Re: Thin black horizontal lines every 2 cm on right side of Toshiba LCD
Were you able to view the YouTube video and see the lines I was speaking of? I will try the scotch tape method and keep you updated. In reference to the picture I uploaded, is the T-Con board the one that is shielded at the Centre/Bottom?

Thin black horizontal lines every 2 cm on right side of Toshiba LCD
I have a 2012 55 inch Toshiba LCD Tv model: 55L7200U
The right side of the LCD has thin black horizontal lines every few cm down the right half of the LCD. I have opened it and looked at the capacitors and they all seem good. I think it may be solved with a reseat of the LCD ribbon cables to the T-Con or maybe a little alcohol clean or heat. Anyone have any other suggestions or ideas? I have uploaded a video for a better understanding. Your help is appreciated Thanks.

Re: Samsung 23" LCD P2350 Inverter Repair
If you replace the fet/pwm on the heatsink please let me know the outcome. I posted the cap sizes and some high-resolution photos on this thread that you may be able to find the part numbers from without having to open the monitor again. I have opened my monitor so many times now that I have it down to a fine art.

Re: Samsung 23" LCD P2350 Inverter Repair
Hey fishstix. The only time I had positive results is when I had a 12V fan blowing on the heat sink. So I don't know if replacing the component the heat sink attaches to would solve anything but putting a fan to it did. Also Im not sure the part number or how to order that piece, but I did google the issue I'm having and I read somewhere that this is the culprit of all mayhem, then again I also understand how it could be the caps, but since I have replaced the caps twice with no success Im thinking it's the other component.

Re: Samsung 23" LCD P2350 Inverter Repair
Well I had it on for 10 minutes and then it switched off...the control buttons on the bottom stay illuminated, and then after a few minutes they turn off then back on with the display. So still the same results....on for ten minutes then off for minute, no difference even with the new caps.
Any ideas what to try next.

Re: Samsung 23" LCD P2350 Inverter Repair
Ok. So I finally got my caps in the mail. The first picture are the ones I bought on ebay from hong kong. The others I bought at a Japanese electronic store on Main St. in downtown Vancouver.
I have replaced the caps and so far so good, but I've only had my monitor on now for 8 minutes....see what happens....keeping my fingers crossed....

Re: Samsung 23" LCD P2350 Inverter Repair
Sorry Mad Professor. I live 2 hours north of Vancouver, BC, Canada....the great white north. In a small village called Whistler. I primarily buy all my stuff online. A large amount from ebay.
I didn't mean to insult anybody here by buying from ebay, but I didn't know any better and I was having some difficulty finding caps online in Canada....so the simplest was to go to ebay. I know better now though.
Anyways my friend gave me his monitor so now the Samsung 23" is on the backburner as a project.

Re: Samsung 23" LCD P2350 Inverter Repair
I ended up finding an old computer power supply, which had several caps in it. I took the 47uf 50V from that. It was really an old power supply so very dusty and you can see the cap is a bit dirty. I know the voltage is a bit high but I thought I would put it in and see what kinda results I got. It is not written Fuhjyyu on the sleeve, but I imagine it may be because all the other caps I ripped outta the power supply do say Fuhjyyu on there sleeves.
I have replaced all the caps now except for the 2 x 1000uf 25V and the...

I believe what I am talking about is the heatsink and voltage regulator.
You can see what I a calling the regulator attached to the heatsink. I believe it is inscripted with:

Re: Samsung 23" LCD P2350 Inverter Repair
Thanks DGtech,
Thanks for the quick reply. I had only replaced one cap but with no real results. The only reason is that I live in the mountains, and we don't really have anywhere to buy caps. I just noticed that I can buy them off this website so I may go along that route. I only need eight of them.
