Asus M3500QA R2.1 missing 3.3 and 5 volts
Hello. Main power rail and secondary power rail working, but 3.3 and 5 volts is missing. the ec chip has 3.3 volts except that all neighbouring components around ec chip either 0 volts or half volt. tested for shorts can't find anything. i have also included picture of 3.3/5volt chip. there is missing ac detect signal. any help? When pressing power button the 3.3 v drops and then goes back to 3.3 vafter letting go of the button

managed to trick the pic chip and confirmed that the board is working. the problem is either the ntc in the hand set or the boiler.this means i wasted 9 quid for no reason, there was no problem with the original pic chip.Leave a comment:

this steam generator doesn't have a water sensor.
boiler gets hot
water pump activates
then it switches on a relay which causes the "no water" led to flash even when there is water . i am assuming it is a programming issue....Leave a comment:

it seems that the 6th pin on the pic chip had 36 ohm resistance to ground, after replacing the chip, the iron started to function again. how did this happen?...

Tefal Pro Express GV8975
we have been trying to get this iron to work, but the problem is that the relay clicks and then the no water sign flashes.
the micro controller is pic16f1933.
all other parts like water pump , boiler, solenoid ect are working....
