    Hi CraterM,
    Thank YOU a lot, it worked like a champ!!
    I forgot the password and basically gave up on recovering the Surface Pro.

    Out of curiosity how does this work? If I use Hex Editor and search for AmitSeSetup I get the following: 41 4D 49 54 53 45 53 65 74 75 70.
    How/Where do I get the hash?

    What are the next steps to get the password?

    I have just joined and have same issue with forgotten password in the BIOS of a Surface Pro 3. Can anyone help please?
