  • Re: LENOVO BIOS AUTO-PATCHER for Supervisor Password Removal

    FYI:
I destroyed the diode D12 while updating the chip of my T450, because I first connected the adapter wrong.
If your laptop does not turn on anymore (screen stays black and fan turns on briefly) then check the diode

Ok thank you. But i have a Problem.
I have the Chip w25q128fv. If i take this dump the patcher gives me follworing error:

Using UEFIReplace to inject 2 DXE drivers...
    [1/2] BootOption (GUID e0746c42-d3f9-4f8b-b211-1410957b9ff5)
t450_3.bin is corrupted or does not contain a valid dump.
    There was an error... Aborting.

If i chose W25Q128BV the Patcher bulid the file.

    Can i use that?

    Hello all,
thanks for the tutorial and the software!
I will try to patch my T450 tomorrow.
However, I still have 2 questions.
    1. do I also have to disconnect the internal battery (My Thinkpad has two batterys).
    2. do I have to disconnect the CMOS battery or can I leave it on? (Want to flash the chip without unsoldering it).

    Thank You!
