Finally got to try it today, worked as needed, removed the password and re-enabled the settings I needed. THANK YOU VERY MUCH....

Need help decrypting the bios password for my SP3. See others have posted the same requests here, so following the crowd.

I think I dumped the BIOS correctly (using ME System Tools v9.5r6) and it is attached in plain zip file (used 7zip).

New here, google-fu landed me here while trying to unlock a bios password on a Surface Pro 3 I need to factory re-image for someone.
Funny thing is, I cannot find a sticky (thus far) on how to dump the bios so the pw can be decrypted (found the right forum for the second part though though). Wish me luck.

My background is 15 years in Windows System Administration, my personal goal is to make things I work on 'just work' and strive for the 'set it and forget it' holy grail. Along the way picked up some scripting...
