• Hi there,

I got a HP ZBook 14 which seems to have a broken EC Chip. It did just start with a black screen. After unsolder the BIOS and EC Chip I was just able to get a backup out of the BIOS Chip. The EC Chip was not recognised in several readers.

I have attached the BIOS since I was able to read it out.

Does anyone has a donor file for the HP ZBook 14?

Hello,

I got a HP Probook 445r G6 which did not start after a BIOS Update Fail. I flashed a blank BIOS on it, after which it started. I was able to put the unique Data in the BIOS, but missed the last field "SMBIOS UUID". After Saving it just starts with a black screen. It restarts when I press a key. After 2-3 reboots a beep sound occurs but the screen stays black.

Can you please help me?

• HP ZBook 15u G3

Hi,

I have made a BIOS dump from a HP ZBook 15u G3. I have made this dump several times with the same CRC as a result. Even the verify was correct.
After unlocking and writing it back I just got a black screen with the fan ramping up.
Even writing back the unmodified file lead to the same behavior.
Can somebody check and correct my file if possible?

Thanks in advance!...

I have a CH341A Programmer. Not the best and I am planning to buy a better one, but in the meantime I have just flashed 8x 840 G3. And with the new chip I was able to perform a proper write and read. I think the friend who tried to unlock it did more damage to it doing so....

Thank you aboumohamed and aldopc,

I tried your files and they did not work. I still get a black screen with the fan spinning.
I had to replace the 32 MB Chip since I was not able to read/write on the old one.

HP Elitebook 840 G5 Black Screen

Hey there,

I have got a HP Elitebook from a friend. It just starts with a black screen and loud fan. He tried to unlock the BIOS. Strangely I can't get 2 same reads out of the 32 MB Chip.
If I put another Chip in I can read and write on it without any problems. So I suggest it is a bad chip.
I only got a faulty readout of the 32 MB. The original dump and the one that was flashed is sadly gone forever. But maybe someone can make a working image again out of it?

Thanks a lot in advance

• HP Elitebook x360 1030 G3 Clean Dump

Hi,

I have a HP Elitebook x360 here, that shows a weird behavior. When it starts the fans keep ramping up. The screen works and shows a small cursor on the upper left corner. After one minute or so it starts so I can enter the BIOS.
When a SSD is attached it simply restarts when it tries to boot. When no SSD is attached it tries to boot PXE.
I already tried to reset security settings and update the BIOS. My next thought is eighter a clean rewrite of the BIOS or that some electronics are faulty and I have to replace...

• HP Elitebook 840 G5 Endpoint Security Controller Problem

Hi,

I have recently bought a Laptop that has a Endpoint Security Controller Problem. According to the seller it has just appeared all of the sudden.

Things I have tried so far:

Restore the security settings to defaults and restart the laptop
Disable all the security options
Clear the NvramActiveRegn areas (replace with FF) Hex Area 37000-38FF0
Also I have checked the DMI Information which seems right according to the stickers on the mainboard.

Is there anything else I can try?
