Re: vizio amber light E321VL
Bumping this one back to the top to see if anyone tracked down a solution. Have a slightly different model, but exact same symptom (i.e. 5V to main board, but no 3V signal back to the power supply (when power button depressed)). I did notice that the power button is getting 3v, but drops to 1.8 (on both poles) when depressed (not sure if this is significant, or normal?). I can get the power supply to turn on (i.e. I get 12v out of it), when I do the AAx2 battery trick on the PSON terminal....so I'm nearly positive it's a mainboard issue.

Re: Vizio GV42LFHDTV10A no pic, no sound, wont shut off
Other voltages I forgot to include:
1 2 3
U2 1.87 3.14 4.96
U7 0 0.82 1.87
U8 1.87 3.14 4.96
U9 0 0.99 1.86
U33 1.08 1.87 4.94
As far as I can tell from what I've read here, only U2 and U8 look ok...but I'm really new at this. It concerns me that my input voltages on U7 and U9 seem to be really low compared to the others. Makes me think my problem is elsewhere. ????Last edited by myjeepsbigger; 03-17-2011, 10:35 PM.

Vizio GV42LFHDTV10A no pic, no sound, wont shut off
Just as the title says, no picture but backlight is working, no sound and the TV won't shut off with the power button or remote.
I have replaced the power supply and mainboard with one I purchased from TVpartsguy.com....however on further inspection I found that the mainboard is not the correct part number. Symptoms did not change at all with these "new" parts installed. I also tried my original mainboard with just the new power supply installed. Same. I seem to be getting all the correct voltages to the mainboard. So I moved on to checking the U33 regulator that I've...
