No possible way a video card draw 30 Amps, that would be like 500Watts + cpu etc etc = 800Watts. will require a 1000Watts supply or more....

Wrong, you should have 60 to 90 Volts DC. In the power board check the voltage (DC) on the across the big capacitors. Do you hear a click upon powering the set? Do you have sound? If you don't is very possible that the the power board is bad.Leave a comment:

Hello friends, this is my first try!
Gateway PC DX4200 W/ Phenom 9550 x 4. The pc is dead, no beep when booting, I tried new video card, ram, power supply ok, what else can I do?
How do I know if the motherboard is bad or the CPU.
Anybody help me please!!!
