Re: Dell inspiron 7567 can't recognize AC adapter
Thank you very much, SMDFlea! Mine is actually LA-D993P. I suppose 993 is i7 1050ti and 991 is i5 1050.
And it seems like I found potential culprit: PR114 should be 33Ohm, while I measure it at 6kOhms (probably should have expected something weird since it also has a weird bump
P.S. ID pin was actually marked as PSID on the schematics
Upd.: replaced the resistor (thankfully I had one 33R 0402 at my disposal) hopefully it was just a one time thing and won't repeat anytime soon
Thank you to the guys at HEGE supporting Badcaps [ HEGE ] [ HEGE DEX Chart ]

Re: Dell inspiron 7567 can't recognize AC adapter
As I implied signal reaches multicontroller. However, something on laptop side seems to pull up on the second dip which should be presence notification from "slave" (charger) side, making it undetectable.
BTW, unfortunately schematics for the laptop are seemingly unavailable publicly, so sadly I can't just lookup which components are involved in the circuit
PS I kinda wonder why it still charges periodically

Dell inspiron 7567 can't recognize AC adapter
Laptop suddenly stopped being able to recognize AC adapter therefore rendering it incapable of battery charging. Admittedly it does sometimes charges up all of a sudden. Is it definitely problem with multicontroller or could there be something wrong with another components?
Snapshot from oscilloscope on a side of multicontroller is attached (IIRC taken from MOSFET pin that has direct connection to multicontroller). On charger side second dip is down to zero (voltage is uncalibrated, substract around 0.6-0.7V)...
