Some of the pins were burned and the plastic was a little melted before I disconnected it I could hear a spark or something from it....Leave a comment:

I would guess that is what happened it was corroded and shorted out.

So I found the problem it isn't the lcd panels it was a ribbon cable on the lcd board it shorted out. Now the only problem is I can't find the cable anywhere.
It has a number on it M0308 some shapes then FXN then another shape 2
so "M0308 FXN 2"
I tried trimming the cable and scraping the cover off but I failed and messed it up more.

I got a t-cron board from ebay. Same error but if I unplug one ribbon half the screen works fine and the other half is white. Any thoughts?Leave a comment:

So you think the LCD screen itself is shot? I could order all new boards but if there is any chance that is the case I will just sell what I can and call it a loss.
So what do you guys think?
I ordered a LCD controller because it was only $15. If that doesn't work any other Ideas?

Thanks rayrod any ideas on how to test that? Any other thoughts? There is also a small board that those ribbons connect to could it be the issue? I will try to remove it today, it is the only board I haven't looked at.

So I ordered the new PSU same issue held the channel down and input. Just the back light came on. I unplugged the power plugged it in and had the same issue. The buttons didn't work again.
I then disconnected the ribbons from what I think is the inverter board it powers on fine no errors. What can I test or should I replace the inverter board?

Quite a few indeed! i put an offer on a power supply we'll see what happens with that. I may just order one and hope for the best. If there is some more in site or experience with this TV that would be great.

Not really. I can get all the boards on ebay for like $250 or just the power supply for around $60. The person I got it from said it stopped working while they were out of town and there may have been a power outage/lighting.
I would really like to fix it without replacing boards if possible. Any ides on what to look at or test mosfets or something?
The caps look fine but I could take them out and test them or replace them if needed they aren't to expensive.

I measured it with the cable disconnected and right after power up before protect mode. It is 0 off and 0 in protect.Leave a comment:

Sorry to keep posting. I was looking through the service manual again and it has an option for the power blinking twice and the opc blink 1-8 times the opc flashes a total of 5 so is the error power blinks twice and opc blinks 5 times? or is it power blinks twice opc blinks 3 times?
If it is 5 times the error is

I just found a Service manual and this is my error. Any ideas what I could look at for the no power for 5V? I will look more indepth on the board and try to find pin 33.
