Re: LG 50PC3D-UD Power Issue Bad Repair Job.
On another thread on these forums someone linked to 16077007-LG-50PC1DRTroubleshootingManual-2007-VG-Training.pdf but the download link is now dead. Would anyone else have a copy? I'd love to go through it for for trouble shooting.
I'm going to check the transistors on the power board as well and see if there is a blown transistor.

Re: LG 50PC3D-UD Power Issue Bad Repair Job.
Hi Bill,
Thanks for your response, I'm not sure about ESR Rating, I just have a regular digital multimeter. The caps the tech put in and the ones I did have the same Capacitance Tolerance.
The only one I'm not sure about is the 50v 680uF it is large and does not have the scores ontop of it.
It has markings ESA, 035TK and S4
The original ones:
Sanyo WB (U2A)
The tech replaced ones:
KZE (Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors)

A co-worker of mine was complaining a few months ago that there was a horizontal line at the bottom of her LG Plasma TV. So I recommended she should call repair or call in a tech to have a look. Well things went for the worse, the tv stopped powering up.
She called LG and pretty much was told she is SOL. The tv is 2 years old and she paid $3000 (Canadian) and that was the discounted price.
So she called a local repair shop and the guy replaced 10 bulging capacitors, and the end...
