• Re: I-Inc IF281D Display Problem

I also have a Hanns G HG281DJ with a FSP217-4F02 board which does not work.
The fault definitely is within the power supply, because with another PS, the monitor works.

I got the monitor with a burnt spot an the board:
- The fuse had jumped
- one of the FQPF 9N50C MOSFETs was cracked
- some circuits on the board were burnt
- some SMD resistors were defective (they read infinite ohms)

I fixed all I was able to recognize as defective and completely recapped the board.

• Re: Samsung 245B diagonal lines Problem

No bulged caps yet, but from my experience they could be dead though... I think i will have a further look at them.

• Re: Samsung 245BW cold boot flickering

The problem with the display showing no picture should be due to cold soldering joints. You might consider resoldering your board. The 245B Plus has similar problems.

• Samsung 245B diagonal lines Problem

Hello guys,
i recently bought a Samsung 245B TFT display, that was offered as defective and without any function.

When i opened it, i was surprised because all internal plugs connecting the boards had been disconnected. No wonder why nothing at all worked anymore.

I measured RB805 which is one of the most well-known problems on this display. And well, mine was defective, too. I changed it, plugged all cables together and fired it up.

Well it works again, but: There are diagonal lines going from down left to up right. They are best seen on white...

Are you sure that C603 is a 10uF cap? From what i know it has 22 uF. But one can also find a 10 uF one close to there, it should be C406.

• Re: Hanns g 28" Monitor Power Supply Question

I also think this Power supply might have a temperature problem. When i opened up my 28" Hanns G, some parts of the power supply board seemed to be darker than others, so they must have become really hot. In my opinion momaka is right if he says that the board design is really bad.

My problem was that the display turned itself on after a while of standby (yellow LED). It then showed a blank blue screen (not the windows BSOD!) and the status LED was lighting blue. A complete recap seems to have fixed the problem,...

Depends from where you are, but Ebay should always have them!

Okay the new capacitor arrived. I soldered it in, and tada - the 245B works again!

Regrettably the part was bigger than the original capacitor, so i had to enlengthen the legs a bit.

ajcrshr, thanks for the link! Half a year is really a long time. I will do some research if the part is maybe available somewhere else!

I bought the following capacitor:

http://cgi.ebay.de/Wima-0-018uF-3-5-630V-FKP-1-R22-5-Capacitor-18nF-/280661946237?pt=UK_BOI_Electrical_Components_Supplies_ET&hash=item4158c16f7d

Hope it will work! As soon as i have the time to solder the thing in, i will report about the progress!Re: Samsung Syncmaster 245BW<br /> ...the link! Half

I am also struggling to get my defective power supply BN44-00173A from my Samsung 245B back into life again. Mine also has the typical symptoms with a bright blue LED, but no screen.
- The other day i already changed the RB805, which was about to fail. It already measured 180 ohm instead of 68. This is, as you all know, the first and easiest step to get your power supply back into work again. But unluckily, the screen stayed black.
- Did a complete recap today, but that did not help. I measured the +24V rail, and it is as dead...
