Thanks a lot dude, flashed but the error remains the same. 5 long blinks followed by 3 short ones, according to a table I found somewhere that is a "General system board failure" I'm checking the board to see what might be wrong but so far everything looks good.

Hello
I have an HP 15-dw1083wm with the blank screen problem after a failed BIOS update. I downloaded the latest version from HP website even using the HP identification tool but after a reboot it refused to show anything (computer was plugged to charger and had more than 80% battery) and now its 5 long long blinks followed by 3 short ones.
