Hi, apologies for resurrecting such an old thread, but I do have the same issue with intermittent but predictable shut downs with a Celetronix psu P/N 614-0363 in an iMac 4,1. Id like to repair if i can.

Would the issue be with the M51957B IC itself or result of another failing component on the psu, is likely to be a capacitor, as in the delay capacitor mentioned in this spec?

Ill start by replacing all the capacitors...

Hi, I'm new to the forum, my back ground is in transformer manufacture, I'm located in Wiltshire in the United Kingdom. I have an interest in electronics, currently I have 3 psu's that have issues, one Samsung and one acbel from powermac g4 MDD, and one other Celetronix from an iMac 4,1. I hope to find insight to common faults and advice to go about repairing the above , many thanks
