Lenovo T450s BIOS Signature

First thread. Anyway, I've modded my bios to replace the date/time menu with the advanced menu but now the T450s has 2x5 beeps at every cold and warm boot. I'm told this is because the signature needs to be modified. Is this possible on this laptop or not? I'm on the latest bios version 1.37

Thanks, that might come in handy if I ever need it.

But this thread is not what I thought it was. I was looking for unlocking the advanced menu in place of date/time. I can patch my original bios to get the advanced menu but then I always get 2x5 beeps. Any way to remedy that? I know it's off topic but just thought someone here would know, I've been reading for hours....

Hi, kiknusko, if you can read this I need some help. I was doing some reading and I heard you could unlock my BIOS for free? If you have some free time, would you unlock it?

I was reading about replacing 3 dxe files using UEFI-tool and then flashing and booting the laptop a certain way.

OK, I read part of the in-depth guide you linked to and the goal, it says, is to prepare the bios.bin for flashing on similar machines. I was under the impression that this guide would strip away the ME so that it is disabled. For those who want to "disable" ME on your machines, this is not the guide to follow. There is nothing good about the ME, just another way big brother may keep a watchful eye over you. It's kinda creepy now that I think about it and I'm sure violates some human rights.

Checking the resulting outimage.bin with the infamous me_cleaner.py tells me that "The AltMeDisable bit is NOT SET"

How is the ME cleaned then? Will your steps prevent it from loading or....? Please excuse my lack of knowledge.

My ME version is 10.x.x.x and using ME_Analyzer, there is nothing to indicate whether the image is "configured" or not, that piece of info is simply missing/omitted from the results. Your test bin says "initialized" before the cleaning and is ME ver. 11.x.x.x. Maybe ME...
