Hi everyone, this is my second post as the first was not as per the rules.
the problem is the bios password was set a long time ago by a family member but they forgot it when it was passed down to me and I need to edit the DMI and remove secure boot to run linux.
I have checked the BIOS guides, resources and tools and have not seen any way to remove the password on this LG laptop.
It's an 8th Gen 8265u Intel.

[Question] Is it possible to convert a DIS motherboard to dual graphics UMA/DIS
Hi all
As the title says, I have a DA0HK5MB6F0, MBX-269 which has a 7650m. I was hoping to enable the hd4000 to make it dual graphics because the AMD graphics card doesn't support Vulkan or Metal and I have seen some similar laptops with dual graphics. Ive tried to enable it in the bios but it crashes when trying to run any application that uses/monitors the gpus. does anyone know how to?

Re: S7 edge power issues
All of them seem okay. Can it be the power management ic?

Re: Sony Vaio SVE15 series not turning on.
I read more on it and looked at the board again and it turns out that the buck converter circuit was dead and the charging circuit too. As I can't find any other replacements, I think I'll just give up. Thanks for your time.

S7 edge power issues
Hi Everyone,
I have an S7 edge (G935F) that stopped fast charging and charges for about 10 hours. It draws 480ma and I can't find what's wrong. It also stopped mtp connection to pc and otg doesn't work at all. I did replace the charging daughter board but nothing changed. Does anyone have any idea of what's wrong?
Also mods, if this is not the right place to post please feel free to remove it.

Re: Sony Vaio SVE15 series not turning on.
I have measured some capacitors with a multimeter in diode mode and they are open. Does that mean that the capacitors themselves are bad or is there a short to ground somewhere else? and if so, how do I find it?

Sony Vaio SVE15 series not turning on.
Hi Everyone.
I'm new to electronic repair so sorry if I miss out on obvious things.
I have a Sony MBX-269 DA0HK5MB6F0 motherboard that just stopped working randomly.First the 5v power rail was out, a capacitor {I think} started making a buzzing noise, then 3v and now 19v aren't present. When I connect it to its charger, the charging IC (PU101) starts heating up.
I have attached the schematics and pictures of the motherboard and a board-view in the zip file.
Any help would be appreciated.
As for why I just dont buy a replacement, its because first I'm only 16...
