  • Re: Asus Flashback AI1316 Schematic

Just for completeness, i was able to remove AI1316 and bridge it.
Only missing piece is SPI-Vcc switching which i wasn't able to figure out.

See attached image for more details.

bridged pins from left to right:
    CPU DI | SPI DO
    CPU CLK | SPI CLK
    CPU CS | SPI CS
    CPU DO | SPI DI

    2 Gates beneath TPM-Header:

..... HOLD CPU ....... WP CPU
    HOLD SPI ..... WP SPI...

started a topic Asus Flashback AI1316 Schematic

    Asus Flashback AI1316 Schematic

    Hello,
i'm currently in the process of debugging an ASUS STRIX X570-F GAMING and experiencing no activity on the SPI_D0-line to the bios chip.
I expect the AI1316 to be dead and want to remove it (and bridge the corresponding pins).

Before measuring everything out - has someone a schematic of this board or any other with one of these flashback-mcus so i can just refer to the schematic?

    Kind regards

  • Re: Palit Geforce GTX 1080TI - not detecting PEX Power

    - Fuses are all good
    - rails and voltages are ok
    - no pieces missing

I have a spare pcb (defect, missing components and gpu) to take parts from and compare.

I suspect something in the INPUT_PEX8_DT <----> GPIO path to be fishy.

What reasons are possible for causing the corresponding bios-message?
I thought without working NVVDD the card would not turn the screen on and the board is load balancing between PEX1,2 and PCiE?

    I'm...

  • Palit Geforce GTX 1080TI - not detecting PEX Power

    Hi,

i've got a Palit GTX1080TI Blower with which someone previously tampered and tried to repair it.
Fortunately, it enables the screen, so gpu and stuff seems intact. Powerrails also ok. Only problem is: Despite of having connected both power connectors, it complains that PEX-Power is missing (on screen message, like cables are physically missing) and refuses to boot.

I already asked for boardviews in another thread, which should allow me to better check everything.

But despite of that, any ideas where to start looking?

    Kind regards...

  • Re: Graphics card Schematics and Boardviews

edit: pcb looks 95% identical to Nvidia FE, but without pads for missing parts and thus slightly different layout.
    so FE-Boardview would also help.

    Hello,

I'm currently trying to repair a Palit Geforce 1080ti Blower.
Does anyone have a boardview / schematic?

    Kind regards
