Agreed!! I think TCON only blew because I connected the corner ribbon. I will keep you updated....

3.0 ohms on the smd lytics capacitor. Not sure where the smoke came from I was looking at the power supply board when I turned my head I saw a very small amount of smoke above the TCON board.Last edited by Euroxs4; 08-13-2020, 06:20 AM.Leave a comment:

Yes your are correct CN4002 is supposed to have power at pin 41 but it does not have power at any of those pins. I just saw some smoke looked like it came from vicinity of tcon board lol. I have another one on order well see what happens.Last edited by Euroxs4; 08-12-2020, 10:38 PM.Leave a comment:

Well It looks like I am back to square one. I hooked up the left lower corner ribbon cable with one of the channels at the TCON disconnected I now have no picture on the whole screen. Im guessing I cooked the new TCON. Although when performing resistance check at cathode still shows 9.41kohms which mean good but who knows if anything else blew on the board.I also flipped the tv over to look at the right side corner ribbon that I had remove previously and found that one of the pins is damaged/separated from the ribbon. So I wonder if that was my issue....Leave a comment:

Yes correct looking at the tv from the front left corner ribbon is disconnected. Also looking at the tv from the front right portion of the tv screen is blank.I think because I am not getting 12v on half the TCON board hence why that portion of the screen is blank. I will need to look at power supply board to see if its sending 12 volts out to that channel but if i remember correctly it never was since I got the tv.
I also had the corner ribbon on the right side disconnected before anything was changed or replaced,...Leave a comment:

Yes I made those same checks with new main board installed. Still not getting 12v on one channel going to TCON board. I did also disconnect the right corner ribbon cable,it was a pain to get it back in as I didnt remove the metal framing on the side perhaps I need to check to see if that corner is seated all the way?
I'm also thinking possibly issue with PS board. I did resolder 2 yellow F105 MPB'S. I believe they are capacitors. I think I even swapped 2 to a different location on the board as they all had the same markings. I resoldered...Last edited by Euroxs4; 08-12-2020, 07:01 AM.Leave a comment:

Attached are pictures and video of YouTube from firestick. Sounds work however screen is dark and not clear on one side and blank on other. Only left lower corner ribbon is disconnected when looking from the front or the tv. In these pictures it's at the top left as I have the tv on its side....Leave a comment:

Ok so I this configuration with new tcon board installed I have 9.4k ohms. That’s good with ribbons connected to lcd panel but nothing connected from main board and corner ribbon disconnected. However with the left corner ribbon connected it reads 1300ohms so It looks like the left side is the issue correct??
Also I did a dry run L lower corner cable disconnected. Both ribbons to tcon connected and both ribbons to lcd panel connected The menu works however right side of the screen does not display anything. Any ideas??...Last edited by Euroxs4; 08-11-2020, 05:50 PM.Leave a comment:

Well I ordered a repair kit for the TCON board. It was 3 mosfets. I soldered them in. I went to do a test run and one of the mosfets proceeded to light itself on fire. I will attach pictures. The question is why? I think possibly solder bridge but I was careful so who knows. Really tiny components its possible. I still had the corner ribbon cable disconnected. Also note I installed a repalcement main board. Its still not putting out 12V on one channel. So thats weird. Mosfet circled is the one that decided it was time to

Hey guys I picked up a portable Bluetooth speaker. Ok can not get the speaker to come on. Does anyone have a service manual for this speaker??i have a strange feeling either the power supply bore is dead or the daughter board next to it. -

What is the best way to remove them?? Can the ribbons be cut away instead of being pulled off or is the key to remove the ribbon thats stuck to the board?? If so what is the best method heat?

I am in agreement this is the best course of action. Now just a waiting game for the replacement TCON. However I also ordered a main board just in case. As I still dont know why the main wasnt sending out 12v for the left side of the panel. Maybe because its shorted?? I am not too familiar with TV circuits but new automotive circuits are turned of via control module if a short is detected curious if this is possible in this case. Yes this tv does have the u type ribbon on the bottom boards and small ribbon cables corners. So I disconnected the small ribbon cable on the left bottom corner of the panel and I am getting 9.4kohms this tells me the panel is good but the tabs running on the left side a FUBAR.Correct?...Last edited by Euroxs4; 08-03-2020, 01:49 PM.Leave a comment:

So yes I hear what your saying. I have done that test, resistance reading using the cathode side of the diode With the left side ribbon disconnected from TCON I was seeing 9.4kohms which from the research ive done is acceptable anything between 9-10kohms. With the left and right side connected I was seeing 1Kohm. This means the left side panel is shorted. However the fact that I dont have 12v for that panel bother me as I think that would affect that circuit. I doubt it. I picked it up from the previous owner. He didn't mention anything other than its went blank while he was watching it. I haven't been able to get into any menu as it displays no image. When I had the left side ribbon at TCON disconnected I had a no signal image on the right side of the screen. But it had some yellow text and wasn't defined and very clear. After I reconnected the left side ribbon at TCON no image at all. Even now. I dont think the panel is shorted as owner didnt mention horizontal or vertical lines in the screen...Leave a comment:
