Just wanted to give a thanks to my fellow users in this thread. Excellent information and detailed readings for both good and bad boards, suitable MOSFET for QB6 and pictures. I had no power on or LED and no current draw which ended up being the same FET and once replaced system powered up and is running like a champ.
Note: The FET wasn't broken loose from the board and looked normal under the scope whereas others had it pulled free or not adequately soldered. It read open on QB6 pins 123 and 4 using resistance mode (not continuity mode).

820-00134 shows C8118 is a 15uF 100V 20% TH (through hole) Correct? My question is there an alternative cap that I can use? Can I use an SMD type with pins in each hole to make the SMD solder through?? I ordered but was wanting to at least test the board. Just wait? I'm sure is right.. Mike

Yup and thanks for the quick response. I checked and was trying to find a smoking gun thats causing this but no gun. thx

Working system then no power. Checking obvious and using an IR Flir camera shows immediate hot spot when plugged in. Within a second or 2 IR picks up a hot spot. Is there a chance it's due to a failed component MOSFET or Cap that's showing this? Or it's a dead CPU. Ryzen 7 3700U Mobile....
