  • Re: Repairing Alesis M1 Active mk2 Monitor Speakers

Thanks for that. There is about 3/8" on 3 of the leads that has broken off. I have some magnet wire on order and plan on re-wrapping the whole thing.

Once I get that done, I can go back to the other stuff. I have gone through the whole thread and it is quite informative. I plan on relocating C8 to the C14 position. So far I have been pretty lucky compared to others as mine is not blowing fuses and hasn't obviously blown out any components.

    Hello,

I'm new here and found the board through searching for this very issue. I have been trying to get my M1 Active Mk2 working again. I tried the C8 cap replacement, but it didn't fix the problem. The blue light pulses and the woofer pops at a regular beat when turned on, but that's all I get.

The caps I used were these:

But after reading this thread, it seems they may not be up...

  • Re: New Members - please post your introductions here

New to the board. I found it through a google search looking for info on fixing a pair of Alesis monitors. Looks like a great source of information.

As for myself, I work in television and have had some basic electronics courses, but I am pretty much a novice.
