Re: Corsair GS600 TTC-103 thermistor alternative?
Thanks very much! It proves that I need to think a little more.
I didn't have a suitable pot but with a little trial and error I have the fan spinning with a 1K resistor. I think that it also proves that if I can find a replacement thermistor, the power supply will be up and running.

Corsair GS600 TTC-103 thermistor alternative?
I have a Corsair GS600 PSU that switches on and produces all the right voltages. However, when the psu starts the fans spins, but then never spins again until the PSU shuts itself down - overheating.
The fan is designed not to operate the fan below 40 degrees C, but I have traced and open circuit TTC-103 thermistor and am looking for an alternative/replacement and cannot find a reliable source in the UK and I don't have the skills to confidently specify an alternative myself.
Any thoughts?

Re: Asus Prime m250 Pro runs one processor, not anoter
Thanks for that. The i5 7600 is currently running the machine I am posting from and passes the Intel Processor Diagnostic tool checks. Although the socket look pretty tidy I wonder about a pin as the memory voltage spec changes from Skylake to Karby Lake. Maybe.

Asus Prime m250 Pro runs one processor, not anoter
This is my first real request for help from the good folks on the Badcaps forum.
I recently purchased a Asus Prime b250 Pro as an electronics project motherboard but the stated symptoms are not what I expected. I was both pleased and slightly disappointed that after putting in a i3 6100 processor the motherboard posted no problem. I installed Windows and ran a few stress test programs, checked the memory, and figured the previous owner was wrong in thinking there was an issue.
I put in my i5 7600 (from my main work machine) and booted. The UEFI popped up with a message to say that...
