Re: ASUS 8800GT Graphics Card Missing Cap. Need Identified.
No distortion, just loss of video signal completely (Black screen, monitor into standby). I do have correct drivers. I have an EXACT identical card already running, so power supply and different mobo could be ruled out. Actually the working card is Rev 1.00 and the faulty refurb one is 1.01. I swap the cards to the same PCI-X slot, same monitors plugged in same outputs. Tried many different ways also.
Guess just not going to work. Think I'll cut my losses and get a 460gtx 1gb or maybe a 560gtx ti.

Re: ASUS 8800GT Graphics Card Missing Cap. Need Identified.
Installed cap. Still doesnt work. Tried many different times. Even baked it. Still no avail. Could it be that a resistor is missing? Look under where the cap was missing and it looks like maybe a third resistor (?) maybe not present. Or is it supposed to look like that? TIA.

Thanks fellas! You all really sound like you know what your talking about.
@yyonline: I have ordered some with the link you have provided. Thx!
@scenic: Thanks for showing me the way they code these things. I was baffled.
Now I hope I just dont f*#$ up the soldering once I get the new ones. Will be a first for me!

ASUS 8800GT Graphics Card Missing Cap. Need Identified.
Okay, I know it's not a motherboard, but I assume same principle here. I figure you guys are the pros at this.
Got this GPU as a refurb item (my first at that). Darn thing came with a cap completely "incapacitated".
Anyways, can anyone tell me what cap I will need and where to get? Stopped by Radio Shack on my way home earlier just to look, but now I've been reading on here that I may need Low ESR? Dont really know much here and any help would greatly be appreciated. TIA...
