Re: BN44-00522A service manual
The 5V output part of it is indeed working. But there are also other secondary windings that generate the voltage for the MOSFET drivers and that part is not working anymore. The windings measure in megaohms range. Some windings even seem interrupted. No short on the rest of the circuit, so not sure what happened. I think it will be safer to replace the board.

Re: BN44-00522A service manual
I think I've found the problem. Transformer TS801 seems to be broken. Does somebody know where I can get a new one?...

Re: BN44-00522A service manual
I only measure 5V standby voltage, the other voltages are not present.
I think icm801 is ok. At least no shortages on the internal MOSFETs. All fuses are also still ok. Also the capacitors around that IC are fine.
Something I noticed is that there is no voltage present on the VCC pin of that icm801, which is probably not normal. For that reason it doesn't start to oscillate. The high DC voltage is present.

Re: BN44-00522A service manual
Both fuses on the board are OK. Will post some photos later.
Can the service manual be requested somewhere? Will Samsung support help with this?

BN44-00522A service manual
Can somebody please help me to find the service manual for a Samsung BN44-00522A power supply? It's from a Samsung UE40ES7000 TV.
Was able to find BN44-00522B, but not BN44-00522A. Unfortunately they are different.
Symptoms are that the relay switches every few seconds. Also with the backlight disconnected. No voltages are coming up, except the 5V standby.
With the main board disconnected the backlight should work, but it doesn't. Checked with a scope, but no voltage is being applied so it's certainly not caused by the backlight.
Currently I...

Re: Panasonic TX-58DXW784 main board
The TV works again now with the new 58DX750B mainboard, but I can only choose UK/Ireland as country, and English as language. Does somebody know how the region can be changed?
Both regions apparently share the same firmware: https://av.jpn.support.panasonic.com/support/global/cs/tv/download/fw/eu_2016/down_eu_uk_cis_02.html, but I cannot reinstall it because the newest version is already installed.Re: Panasonic TX-58DXW784 main board...an only chooseLast edited by lospiratos; 10-30-2020, 11:54 AM.

Re: Panasonic TX-58DXW784 main board
I've ordered the mainboard of a TX-58DX750B now. That TV looks very similar. Hopefully it works...

Panasonic TX-58DXW784 main board
I'm looking for a new main board for a Panasonic TX-58DXW784. Unfortunately they seem to be not available anymore.
Type TNPH1147 TXN/A1YJVE
Will another TNPH1147 main board, but with another TXN number, also work in this television? I don't care if some functionality would be missing, as long as the hdmi ports work.Last edited by lospiratos; 10-24-2020, 10:28 PM.

Re: Samsung LE40C530; turned on, flickered, now no backlight (but picture/sound work)
It allows to measure without the module shutting down after a few seconds. Those backlight states are all in different situations.
Without PWM the backlight works fine at highest brightness level, this lets me think that the lamps are fine. The flickering starts when the lamps need to dim with PWM. I also don't suspect the feedback signals anymore, because the A and B output on LX6503A is constant thus not causing the flickering.
How can I safely measure the PFC voltage...Last edited by lospiratos; 06-22-2020, 12:18 PM.

The PWM signal from the main board is also correct.
I think something goes wrong in the PFC circuit when the inverter starts to dim.

Re: Samsung LE40C530; turned on, flickered, now no backlight (but picture/sound work)
I already did that, then the backlight works perfectly fine. PFC voltage is 377V, is that enough?
To disable the protection circuit I've removed DI811. Now the backlight doesn't turn off anymore, but it flickers slightly.
Now I'm trying to debug the VSNS and ISNS lines, but it looks fine at first sight. It's a bit hard because I don't really know which signals to expect.
One thing that I've noticed is that the LD signal sometimes triggers, what's it's purpose?

Yes, exactly the same boards and symptoms. I dont want to switch the board, but fix it instead. The circuit is available so I think it should be doable.

I have the same problem with this type of TV. Has anybody ever found which component causes this kind of issue?
