  • I misspelled the 19V voltage coming from pad 28 of the PU8900 IC; it passes through the diode, the capacitor, and a resistor, then reaches pad 3 (P_CHG_VCC_R_30) of the PD8900 dual diode (19V).
Pad 2 (A/D_DOCK_IN) has 18V, and pad 1 (BAT) has no voltage output.
To measure, I use a multimeter, negative to ground and positive to pad3 (19V), and the same goes for pad2 (18V) and pad1 has no voltage....

  • According to the boardview, the voltage exits the PU8900 IC through pad 28, which connects to pad 1 of diode D8908, which in turn connects to pad 1 of PC8941 and pad 2 of PR8916; pad 1 of PR8916 connects to pad 3 (this pad receives 19V) of PD8900; Looking back, pad 2 of PD8900 has 19V, and pad 2 should output 18V because this pad connects to other components that go to the battery connector. I'll attach images and upload the boardview....

  • Good morning, I have an Adus X413E laptop that won't charge. 19V reaches pad 3 of the BAT54CW SCHOTTKY diode, and 18V should be output on pad 1, which is the BAT line, but only 0.6V is output.
I measured the diode scales, and the SCHOTTKY, pad 1 anode to pad 3 cathode, reads 0.2V; pad 2 anode to pad 3 cathode, reads 0.2V. When I reverse the leads of the OL multimeter, this tells me the Schottky is good, but no voltage is output.
I would appreciate some guidance on a possible solution.
