what else other then bad replacement components could cause the three components to blow again on the x buffer board?

we used compatible components from spare boards we have.
whats the symptoms of a faulty screen?

we disconnected the y board and tested the vs and va and we got the correct readings . next we check the components on the x buffer board and found three shorted components 2 transistors and a diode we replaced them and connected everything except the y buffer board and it lead to the three components on the x buffer board blowing again.
what could be the fault now?

so we were checking the boards for visible signs of damaged components and shorts and we found a few components in the y board and eventually got all the ones replaced we could see and detect as faulty after 2 or 3 attempts . now the situation is when power is connected the logic board led blinks 5 times in 5 second intervals for 30 seconds and stops and power led starts to do a double blink after 30 sec continuously . we get the 5v standby in the logic board. no vs and va in the y board. when we disconnect the bottom middle cable leading...
