I'm kinda lost here...please forgive me.
So the yellow "K" (Fujitsu RE?) ones are made of Polymer? If so why are they bulging, I thought only the traditional ones do because of the bad electrolyte ...

I wouldn't blame Apple for that, they went for Nichicons not some cheapo Taiwan caps and no one knew they were having problems too. Yeah they could have gotten Rubycon or something but hindsight is always 20/20.Last edited by HyperYagami; 04-30-2005, 05:08 PM.

It's a Pentium-1...
I'd rather ebay a P-2 board + CPU instead...probably cost just about the same as a bunch of new caps. Sometimes you just have to let go...

That can be the power supply too, but since badcaps is a known problem with that board I'd troubleshoot from that angle first....

Yup that's the most logical. I doubt they actually take your old board and recap it.
No. A 1000uF 6v cap is a 1000uF 6v cap, no matter what brand. No "retest" is needed....
