• Re: Xbox One S turns off after 1 second

Thank you. Do you know any resources or videos that would show me how to test all nine?

Edit: I forgot to include this in the initial post, but I also see no physical damage to the board at all. Looks pristine.

• Xbox One S turns off after 1 second

Hi all,

I am a relative newbie to electronics repair, but I've been able to fix a number of consoles and everyone here has helped me to fix a couple TVs. I'm stuck on an Xbox One S.

• When I press power, it beeps, and the white light comes on for 1 second, then it turns off. The fan does not spin.
• When I plug in the power cord, before pressing power, the fan does not do its normal 1/8 to 1/2 turn/spin.

I have tried:
• Removing the mobo from the console, and just trying to start it with the PSU, fan, and front panel with the power...

Replacing the X board fixed it!

Okay, what I tested were the logic boards, not the X and Y boards.

So, I followed this guy's video, and determined the X board is bad.

Does anyone know where I can find the same X board?

It looks like the part number is LJ41-09422A. The one in my TV is R1.3. I found this eBay listing but it was R1.2. I also found this...

• Re: Samsung PN51D550 Five double blinks

I am very sorry to disappear for so long. Real life stuff hit me. I was able to successfully test all of the pins going from the power board to the X and Y boards (although I could not tell you which one is the X board and which one is the Y board). All of the voltages are correct on both ends of the connectors. Of course, as it turns on and off 4 to 5 times, I am only able to get the reading for a split second before the TV shuts back off.

Can anybody PLEASE advise the next step to troubleshoot?

Here is a close-up of that corner of the power board. I'm not sure it's the power board though, because replacing it resulted in the same symptoms as before? That said, I will absolutely perform any troubleshooting steps anyone gives me to the best of my ability....

• Samsung PN51D550 Five double blinks

Hi everyone,

I recently had trouble with a Dell monitor, and you guys really went above and beyond to help me, and I was able to fix it! Thank you!

My TV broke a couple weeks ago, and I want to get it fixed for my wife.
Model: Samsung PN51D550C1FXZA (I often find it online as just PN51D550 or split as PN51D550 C1FXZA).
Specs: 51" 1080p Plasma 3D TV

Symptoms: After plugging it in, it turns on then off then on then off, 4-5 times total, and then the power...

• Re: Dell 2007FPB teardown

New inverter board came, transformers all tested 1050-1060, threw it in, broke a connector, three solder jobs later.... it lives! Now I get to wrestle with Windows 7. THANK YOU for your help, Badcaps community and special thanks to Behemoth!...

I may get that lucky, we will see. It was sold as being pulled from a monitor with a cracked screen....

Thanks! I wasn't sure how to look up and order transformers. It doesn't seem to be as easy as resistors. So I picked up an inverter board for $12 off of eBay. It should arrive in a week and hopefully I can pull one of the transformers off of that.

I had no clue what you meant, and several YouTube videos later... lol (I like this though, I’m learning!)
Chip 1 - 878 and 1037
Chip 2 - 1029 and 1029
Chip 3 - 1020 and 1017...

I reassembled it just to test. Self test comes on for half a second, and then the screen goes black. The power light and the number 2 light stay lit. It does not appear to be backlit, and when I shine my mobile phone light on the screen I don't see anything. I ordered another multimeter on Amazon and expect it to arrive tomorrow. Thank you for responding....

Hi everyone,

I have a Dell 2007FPb and found this thread with others experiencing my issue. My monitor turns on for about a half a second before the screen turns black. This is in the self test mode also. I took it apart and did not find any bulging or leaking capacitors. I tried replacing the 272 resistor others had mentioned in this thread, but it did not work and my symptoms are the same. Additionally I did not have a dielectric white blob on my board when I opened it like others have seen. See the last picture where I almost exactly...
