Hello,

I have an Asus P4C800-E Deluxe I need some help with. This board works and will run a live CD.

However if it is restarted with the reset button or ctl+alt+del it will not POST. If I go into the BIOS and exit, after it restarts it will not POST. And usually but not always, shutting it down and restarting it will not POST.

If I clear the CMOS it will start again and run with no problems. All the caps look good though they are mostly OST.

This board powers on and the fans spin but there are red led's lit up by the cpu, it gives 1 long beep and 4 shorts beeps, then shuts itself down after a few seconds.
There are 5 KZG caps by the 24 pin connector and one more by the memory, but the rest are Rubycon or solid caps. None are swelling/leaking.

I have an Abit motherboard full of these Rubycons that all look different than other Rubycons Ive seen before. The width of the lines that make the 'K' are very thick and you can see the ends of the lines. Most rubycons I have seen have thin lines and the ends are hidden under the wrapping.
What do you think, are they real or fake?

I have this board. There are two caps between the pci-e and pci slots. The 470 is the one closest to the end of the slots.
