Re: JVC HD-70ZR7J Lamp replacement
I've never bought anything from ebay but i have had good luck with a lamp from Amazon. It actually has lasted longer than the original bulb that came with my Mitsubishi dlp.

Re: Once again a Visio VX42L - No Snd or Pic
I've got the same tv with the same problem. I originally thought the mainboard was bad but all my voltages were good on the regulators. So i suspected the tcon. Ordered a new/used one and have the same problem. If i unplug the two left ribbon cables the tv powers up fine and half the screen works with audio. Hdmi, component, and composite work. If i unplug the right two and leave the left ones plugged in it doesn't work. It's confused the hell out of me so i gave up for a while. This thing is in mint condition too. Upgrading laptop hdd question
I've got a hp dv6000 laptop with a 120gb hdd in it and want to put in a 250gb hdd i salvaged from another laptop. My question is where can i find a free reliable cloning application that someone here has personally used and can vouch for? The 120 gb hdd thats in it is still good, i just want some more space. It is partitioned 100 gb for C and 20 for recovery D. I do have a external usb sata enclosure that i'll be using. I know it will take a while to clone using the usb but thats all i have for now. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: 65" Sony DLP blue pixel issue
I think the blue dots are caused by a faulty chip in the light engine. I'm sure you've been doing some research on it. Good luck.

Re: Eliminating the inverter board
Yeah my tv is a 19". I would give it a try by edge lighting the westinghouse. You have to make sure you have room to put the leds in the frame for the panel without crushing them when you reassemble the tv. I would think if you back light it you would clearly see the leds. Maybe the bulbs aren't directly shining onto the back of the panel? You wont know until you tear it down. When i get home i have a 37" panel from a magnavox that im gonna take apart to see where the bulbs are and if they shine directly onto the panel. Keep us updat...

Re: Eliminating the inverter board
I took a couple of the busted ccfls and some of the tv working. I completely forgot to get some when i had all the diffusers and bare panel out. I have extra boards for this tv that i could take pictures of but the power supply would really be the only relevant one. I tore the screen all the way down to get to the small metal channels that hold the ccfls. One on top and one on bottom. Each one held two bulbs so there were 4 bulbs total. Took those out and cut the led strip to fit. Wired top and bottom led strips together and soldered the ac adapter...

Re: Memorex mlt1921 converting ccfl to led
I tried uploading some pics but it wont do it at home. I'll do it tommorow. I've been sidelined for a while and havent really been working on any thing. A dog bit the tip of my finger off and i had to have surgery.

Re: Eliminating the inverter board
If the tv still has a picture with a flashlight and has sound you should be good. My power supply had the inverter built into it. The ccfls went bad. I'll try to load some pics in my thread in a minute.

Re: Memorex mlt1921 converting ccfl to led
Installed the leds today and the tv works. The picture is nice and bright. I tried uploading pictures but i'll have to wait until i get the laptop down to some decent internet. You can faintly see the leds shining on top and bottom in the picture but that was to be expected and it doesn't bother me much. The leds didn't come with a spec sheet so i can't tell you much more about them other than what i've already posted. I got them on amazon.com for 15 bucks.
