Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Hi!
I'm Jeff from Malaysia. Just joined this forum for information and advice. I'm into electronics just for the hobby after putting it aside for a very long time. I have just some basic knowledge of E & E.
Thanks.

Re: Found another DIY ESR Meter...Anyone seen this one?
Post a question.
Here are 2 PIC's with the same marking except for the ending code. Of cause the circuit indicated item 1. What's the difference between these two? Cost wise, the later is 34% cheaper.
1. PIC16F690-I/P
2. PIC16F690-E/P
Thanks

Re: Found another DIY ESR Meter...Anyone seen this one?
I'm in the process of building one since I have most of the parts lying around except for the MCU. I have flashed an attiny before with Ponyprog and its a breeze. For Pic's, this will be my first and wondering is there anything I miss?
The source code is in .hex that I know, what's with the .jal and the JAL compiler? Can someone enlightened me on these?
I'll come to the calibration part later. Thanks

Re: Any experiences with this ESR meter circuit?
Its in PDF.
Its this file "2484______zip" in "Description"
It looks like a manual to setup and calibrate the unit. See if you can translate this Google.

Re: Any experiences with this ESR meter circuit?
Thanks Frako,
Any idea about the Russian version? Looks quite interesting although its SMD based. I would like to give it a try but unfortunately the manual is in Russian. Can't seem to find the translation. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Here is the link: -> RLC -> ESR/R/L/C/F meter (by R2-D2)

Re: Any experiences with this ESR meter circuit?
Hi all,
Has anyone built the mario001.de ESR meter? I'm quite interested in building it but I'm not so clear about the schematic and the attached file T3000.zip.
Can some body assist me.
1. Adjacent to the power source are two parallel circuits. The right circuit +5V is for IC5, connection to pin 1 and 8. The left one V+ is unknown and connected to pin 4 and 11. Any idea which IC is it?
2. T3000 - is this the source code and for which IC?
Thanks
